Advise for training with a two handed great sword?

Postby Dexter Miksch » Thu Nov 16, 2006 3:37 pm

Hi, I was curious to what advise you can offer me in the use of the two handed great sword? I’m talking about technique lists, books, exercises, ext.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

It might help for us to know what kind of sword you are looking at.
Just a standard greatsword like in the 'Goliath' manual? Or something more specific like a German Zweihander or Claidheamh da laimh (Scottish two-hander)?

Reguardless, most of the techniques used will be identical to those used with longsword. Which we have many manuals for here in out research & reading section as well as in the Members section.
