Any ARMA close to Smokey Mountains N.park?

I might go as a youth leader for CISV (Childerns International Summer Villages) to Smokey Mountains this summer. So far I do not know when and for how long ( most likely for one or two weeks in either june/july/august). A look at the ARMA study group lists shows three groups in Tennessee, if I get the possibility is there any chance of hooking up with any of you guys in those groups for a day or two of practice?

That's in eastern Tenessee, close to Georgia and the Carolinas, so check with those folks too.

That's not too far from me!! Our new study group here is ARMA Virginia Highlands. We meet in the Abingdon, VA area. Lately we've been bouncing between my house and a cheerleading gym. During the summer we meet in a local park. You can find a link to our website on the Study Groups and Practice Partners page. I try to keep that updated with our meeting time/location, but if you contact by email or PM closer to time I'll fill you in.

that sounds great! I am sorry I cannot give you any more details atm as I was only asked to go the day before yesterday, but the first thing I did was to start looking for potential HEMA practitioners to meet up with .

Hello again,

it seems that if I go I will be in Smokey Mountains for most of july, around four weeks. I do not know how much free time I will have, or if Im allowed to travel any distances from where we are at as I will be responsible for a youth group where each kid is staying with a host family and I must be able to be contacted and get to each kid if they start to cry etc. But with four weeks on my hand I am sure I will get some time to practice with local ARMA groups, as this trip makes me unable to attend the Gunpowder Mills event in England I simply have to.

It looks like we're 2 hours, 15 minutes from Gatlinburg, TN which I believe is the main entrance to the park.
