Dallas area members or practice groups?

Hi all,

Myself and a friend (and maybe a few others we haven't asked yet) are interested in beginning learning the technique and application of medieval/renaissance sword fighting, and in looking around I discovered ARMA. This association looks like the best way to study and practice REAL combat as it would have been done in the past.

What I'm hoping for some help with (at least at this point, much more later I'm sure!) is to find out about how many people are active in the dallas area and where a study group practices, if there is one nearby. We're in the northeast dallas area, around Richardson/Plano.

ARMA DFW is the study group for the Dallas and Fort Worth area. The ARMA DFW study group practices at Veteran's Park in Arlington (3600 W. Arkansas Lane) from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. You are most welcome to check us out. We do ask that you wear a white t-shirt and black pants/shorts. Feel free to contact either Ernie Perez or myself if you have more questions.

Thanks Matt, I actually found that by doing a search here

I actually dropped by Vet Park this past Sunday on the way home from a wedding down in Austin, made it there around 5:15 or so and walked around without any luck in finding a bunch of guys with swords Tried to give Randall a call as well, but got voicemail which I expected if you guys were in fact practicing!

I plan to come out this next weekend for the full time to observe, learn, and hopefully get a basis for starting my individual efforts outside the group practices as well.

I'm sorry that no one was at the park. Due to the nasty weater from the gulf and related social activities we had canceled practice last Sunday. I'm looking forward to meeting you.
