French armor info?

Postby Jared Lambert » Mon Mar 29, 2010 3:20 pm

I have been looking on the internet for quite a while and cant find any info or pictures on 14th or 15th century French armor I mainly find German Burgundian and Italian armor which have a lot of similarities in appearance, but had beautiful differences. Did they have there own style or did their armor look like everyone elses. Any pics or info on french armor would be greatly appreciated.

You might have some luck searching for portraiture of nobility or museum websites in France. I received a post card from Paris one time labeled on the back: "Chevalier du XIVe siecle (1390)" with art by Patrick Dallanegra depicting an armor diagram of a French knight. You can see it and others like it if you click on the "Le Moyen Age - 2 (XIVe - XVe s.)" link in the menu on his website.
