Sword Lovers Everywhere
For those involved in the Historical European Martial Arts community, and also for anyone with a passion, interest, and love of the sword: I would like to make you all aware of a project which has great relevance to our study and passion for this subject. The Middle Earth Network along with Galatia films will be producing the second installment of the #1 itunes documentary Reclaiming the Blade. Reclaiming The Blade "Sons of Fire" . This film will feature such film legends as John Rhys-Davies, Viggo Mortenson, and WETA workshop in collaboration with many of my own personal friends, mentors, and instructors in the ARMA as well as the wider worldwide Historical European Martial Arts community.
Why is this project so important ?
The Reclaiming the Blade film and now its sequel will be the first time I am aware of that such an extensive collaboration of Historical European Martial Arts practitioners, sword smiths, academic experts, fight choreographers, and film actors and major film industry representatives have come together in collaboration with each other's respective communities. These films are the first time that individuals actively involved in martial and academic research into how European swords were actually used have come in contact with major elements of the film industry, and may usher in the first steps of real expertise in European sword arts entering the main stream.

As of my writing this posting there have so far only been 188 backers. The film will only come to being if the funding goals are reached and is all-or-nothing. Without support this film may very well never come to be and these forgotten sword arts will remain relatively unknown. But with your help, they can be brought to light.
