attendance at practices

Postby Ken Baker » Sat Aug 10, 2013 7:45 pm

Good evening everyone....searching I did not find recommendations on some things

I am debating , due to a huge interest since childhood in the topics ARMA studies and more importantly is HOW they study them...with joining.

My question would be: should I join ARMA first or seek out the study group (not sure where to start with equipment procurement)

And on attendance....my daughter lives 2 hours away.., so every other Sunday I am in transit to take her home round 4p est ( the local group is on Sunday afternoons) ...so is missing a practice that often "against the rules" per say?

Ty for the assistance and advice...,

We all understand how life gets in the way of practice sometimes, and no ARMA group has any attendance requirements that I know of; you proceed at whatever pace you're able. If you're in the Arlington, TX area, I'd recommend visiting with the DFW and/or Denton study groups first to see what it's like, meet the people, check out gear in person, and decide if ARMA membership is for you before applying. We've got some good people up there, so I hope we'll be seeing you around.

Definitely check out any group first and thoroughly examine them before joining anything. If you like it and it suits you, fine; if not, just as fine and keep your eyes peeled for something better to come along.
