MS 3542: The Harleian Manuscript.
I am interested to know if any progress has been made on translating the text and where I might find those translations? I found a link to Terry Brown's thesis on the subject but the link didn't take me to the thesis itself and of course I have looked at the verse analysis on this site.
I have started to look at the MS 3542 text myself and made some early attempts at translation (so far only the first paragraph), it appears to be written in a very broad version of middle English that is a mix of basically everything being spoken at the time and also written phonetically so regional dialect has to be taken into account as well. As an English person from Sussex, an area steeped in history, I find the MS 3542 absolutely fascinating.
If anyone can point me in the direction of any translations it would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Rob.
