Postby Jonathan Waller » Thu Jul 10, 2003 3:13 am

The EHCG Annual seminar will be taking place at The Royal Armouries museum over the weekend of the 23rd-24th August.

The format will be similar to previous years with a mixture of talks/demonstrations and training. Drinks and diner in The Royal Armouries Galleries will take place on Saturday.

Talks by,

Graeme Rimer Keeper, of collections at The Royal Armouries, Title TBC

Lars Magnar Enoksen, On the Viking fighting Arts, and the progress toward re-creating a Viking warship, by the Ship Museum, Roskild, Denmark. Lars will also be teaching Glima over the weekend, as the Guilds Chief Glima instructor.

We hope that Tony Wolf from New Zealand, fight director and WMA researcher, will be attending. His talk/demo will relate how his work on devising the various racial fighting styles for the film of The Lord of the Rings, was help and influenced by European historical fighting styles.

There will also be training from the Guild Syllabus

A Jousting tournament will be taking place over the weekend with various groups competing against the Armouries Team.
