I Require Help

Postby Guest » Sun Oct 05, 2003 2:08 pm

Hello everyone.
This is the first time I have ever looked into buying/using an authentic sword. I'm looking for something functional and practical. I was just wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions for websites to browse that meet my requirements. I've been looking on my own and have found lots of trash and almost nothing that is very serious. Anyway this seems like the place to ask about where to find authentic good quality items. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forum <img src="http://www.thearma.org/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

I am a big Deltin fan. These swords have proven to be sturdy and affordable.I think they are a best buy when everything is considered. They can be found here http://www.albionarmorers.com/arms.htm while at this link, check out Albions own line of swords.

I also like Lutel though I don't own one.The ones I have handled are nice. They can be found here http://www.lutel.cz/index2e.htm

Atrim makes one model I really like though some models are not suitable for heavy targets. It can can be found here http://allsaintsblades.com/at1423.htm

I personally do not favor MRL though some here will disagree. The ones I have owned have had bad hilts though others are apparently getting nice ones. They are quite affordable however. They can be found here http://www.museumreplicas.com/

Thanks for the help. I definately like the Albion Armorers considering they have many blades I like that are in my budget. Now to decide wether I want a regular old broadsword or a rapier... Do you have an opinion of which I should get? I'm so indecisive. <img src="http://www.thearma.org/forum/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />

Hi,
I found a currency converter at www.bankrate.com. Choose Calculators and then select Currency. Thought you'd like it to convert CZK to $ for Lutel's site.
