Why must you guys be so far away from NC Kyle?

Any of you guys anywhere within driving distance are missing a great opportunity to train with a darn good bunch of Swordsmen if you don't get out to this event. I envy those of you who make it out to train there. If I was anywhere near Texas,I could only be stopped from attending by force of arms(LOL)

Would like to thank all the arma members who came out in the rain today. They made the day a good learning exteriance and a really fun day of sparring . Randell and ernie braved the weather and drove all the way from dallas, also Scott adair drove down from lubuck on friday and we had a good 2 days of sparring and taking. The A&M ARMA group came up to the house again and they were great too.
We did two hours of training and all got alot out of it. We then went to padded sparring from one-on-one to team sparring. We used long swords, sword and buckler, sword and shield and used pole arms. Our group was 17 strong and will be doning a event like this again in about 6 weeks. Await to see you all again, but with out the rain.

Kyle

It is us who should thank you and Kim for inviting us into your home and for make the day such a great success. It was indeed a great learning experience and tons of fun. It is always a pleasue to cross swords with you, Stacy, and Scott. Likewise it was a pleasue to meet and cross swords with the Texas A&M study group.

Kim, I am especially thankful to you for letting my kids hang with you and your kids during the day, they too had tons of fun.

Stacy, thanks for working with my young ARMA youth member.

So Ran,
Did any of our fellow Swordsmen bring a dagger to their own funeral in freeplay or did they learn a lesson from the Intl. Event?

What's that you're fond of saying?" Old age and treachery wins over youth and vigor any day"? LOL! Glad ya'll had a great time!

Shane

Nobody gave me any breaks. I sure could have used some help too. I lost my lunch money serval times. Those A&M boys were a herd of young bulls - I would call them "Longhorns" but they would probably get mad at me.

Just wanted to say thanks to Kyle and Kim for your hospitality. It was really a great day inspite of the weather. It was also a pleasure to meet and work with the A&M guys as well as see old friends again.

I really enjoyed being able to do some sparring with a larger group and different weapons mix. Look forward to doing it again.
