edged weapons at the smithsonian?

hi all,

does anyone know if there is an edged weapons collection at the smithsonian?

Hey, been reading for a while but this is my firts post.

When I was at the Smithsonian a couple years ago, I did not really see many edged weapons. I saw a few cavalry swords and thats about it.

On the other hand the place is HUGE! and I may have missed them or walked right by and not have seen them. There were some buildings I didn't even get to.

Someone told me the museum only holds about 10% of the items they own. They have most of it in warehouses; so another possibility is that they have them stored up in there.
