Euro Historical Martial Arts event 21/22 August

Hi all - this is just a reminder that there is a multi-group European historical martial arts event being held at the Royal Gunpowder Mills, in Waltham Abbey, Essex, UK, on 21&22 August.

Confirmed Presenters:

- Jonathan Miller (Linacre School of Defence) - English Stuart Period backsword (+ and maybe Hope smallsword or pugilism+wrestling)
- Dave Rawlings (Boar's Tooth) - I.33 sword&buckler
- James Marwood (Schola Gladiatoria) - Indian walking stick defence & WWII Fairbarn umbrella.
- Mike Stillwell & Co - Gatka presentation/class
- Martin Austwick (Boar's Tooth) - A talk on who George Silver may have been
- Philippe Willaume (Destrier etc) - Ringeck wrestling
- Dave Rawlings & Philippe Willaume - Ringeck longsword
- Rob Lovett (the Exiles) - Fiore dei Liberi abrazare, dagger & single sword

-Mark Hillyard (Academy Gloriana) - George Silver singlesword presentation

Hi Matt,

I have just moved to Italy, near Pisa. I am definitely looking forward to meeting you at one of the European events while I am here!

I unfortunately will not be able to make this latest event.

You will be at the next big HEMAC gathering I hope. I plan on being there to meet all the great folks on this side of the pond!

Hi Tim - yes, it would be great to meet you also. The next big HEMAC event I know of is in Vienna, in October, which I won't be at unfortunately. We are doing a bit of an event over here in GB in October also though.
The next annual HEMAC event won't be until next April or May though <img src="/forum/images/icons/frown.gif" alt="" />.
