Combat Dummy part 2

For the head, take your other yoga block and lay out a head outline

Can't help you any here, except just start cutting off parts that are not your head

get your head carved, and cut out eye holes, and a hole for the chin. The squeeze ball eyes worked out better than I hoped.

Take innertube and cut out eye lids and put in street hockey ball chin.

Tape it up pretty good. I tried to make lips to fishhook with, and they work, but I am not happy with them

But the eyes more than make up for the lips.

David,

This is one of the most interesting projects I've seen in a long time.I'm with Jared,I can't wait to see how it turns out and I simply demand a pic of you performing a thunderous throw on it!

This is really cool. About how much will this weigh when you're finished?

"About how much will this weigh when you're finished?"

Wow, I have not thought about that. I weighed everything that will be used on this, and it came up to about 20-25 lbs. I am going to experiment with figureing out how to weight it to 45-50 lbs. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Thanks,
David

Yah! Gouge 'em deep! That's just too cool.

About the weight: could you tightly roll up newspapers and give that guy some bone marrow? In other words, stuff the hollow pipes. That would seem to be a way to add some considerable weight and still maintain such a low budget.

Also, do you think it would work to use rubber tubing (like those used in resistance training/phisical therapy) to assist with some wicked fishhooking?

What'a think?

I said it befor, but I'll say it again: very cool!

Excellent.

You could use double ziplock bags of sand stuffed in all the pvc pipes to add more weight. The other option is using the same sort of thing on the outside of the pipes, then tape over.

I have a Green man wrestling dummy that I use (my kids call him Mr Uke . he weighs in at about a 125lbs .but I like your guy better (He's got more personality)."dont tell Mr Uke.
I think the PVC is a good Idea and mabey adding some sand bags in the pipes and chest cavity.
Also thind about drilling the pvc and adding lengths of bungee of different resistance to replicate muscle and tendon.Just food for thought . Keep us informed .
