What happened at the end? Was anyone injured from that? Neither guy fell over as far as I can tell...but did either of them even take hits?
They stayed out of range from any direct thrusts for the most part I think, though they might have gotten some cuts on the arms...
If anyone knows what the resulting "injuries" (if any) were, I'd like to know.

If the man on the left has simply set aside the adversary's weapon I might could see a single time action. However, given that he has a grip on the arm itself I have to go with Jay on this one.

Sure, I can understand that. My idea of it can work with a drawing or sliding cover, that ends in the grip proper. But if you all find it is more workable in two parts, then I respect that.

Hello jeff
“Bursting” is the foundation of the aikido I practice and in lots of way it is really the core of ringeck fighting system

I remember having a discussion on this board masterhaw used as absetzen and if they were onetime counter or two times paries riposte.
I am in the one time counter front but regardless of people different position on the topic, we all agreed, that the discussion was more about how you ideally want to do rather what you actually achieve.

According to circumstance, you will do it one time, “one and half” or two times.
What I am trying to say is that sometime you will have a single “plaf” where the defence and the attack lands at the same time.
Sometime you will have a plaaaaaf where the two are a little bit out of sync and you can have plaf-plaf where the follow each other.

i am not to sure that physically there is that much difference, i think the difference is more in teh way we describe what we do
One Ringeck to bring them all In the Land of Windsor where phlip phlop live.
