The fellow on the left just has to use his sword as a lever on the other fellow's neck on any of several angles. Stepping through and using an appropriate leg sweep in conjunction wouldn't hurt either.

It is indeed a forceful throw and you do not have to use a leg sweep. To make the throw with the weak of your sword you need to not only push down with your blade you also need to push forward so that the blade slices as you make the throw. The adversary either has to take a hard slice on the neck or attempt to get away from the blade by going down. Try it slowly with a waster - there will be enough rubbing-burn to force you down. I would be really unset with a practice partner if they used this technique on me in free play.

I guess the JPG number on the link is actualy diffrent than the plate number in the book.
