I was painfully reminded of what a good throw is capable of the other day as me and a friend were showing eachother moves. He threw me from a wristlock, and despite my taking him down with me I got skid up pretty bad and he got the wind knocked out of him. Dispite it being his throw, the point here is that a good throw is capable of incapacitating a person. In Icelandic Glima, in the olden days, they used to wrestle on flat stones called "killing stones", the point of the wrestling was a type of duel. The duel was over when one person was thrown to their death! Of course not every throw would be letheal, but the potential to do some serious damage is there.
