I have a question about the half hip and the hook in Auerswald. He mentions the half hip with a winding of the right leg on his left leg. This looks similar to the Hook mentioned later on. The half hip is also mentioned with out the leg winding around the opponent left leg in two other places.

1st half hip is on pg 18; While winding, I spring with my right thigh, winding it around his left leg and take the half hip.
2nd half hip pg 19; When I have taken the half hip, and he has begun to break out of it then I step with my right thigh entirely behind so that I have my left hand on his shoulder and pull him entirely over.
3rd half hip pg 80; This is also a technique from the underhook that is called the half hip.
All of the hooks mentioned have the leg off the ground. pgs. 48,49,50,51,54,55,56,59,60,61. Some of these are breaks(counters) of the hooks. Also pgs. 77 outer hook, 78 under hook. and pgs. 82,85.
Is the half hip and the hook variations of the same throw or are they different throws? Is the half hip a hip throw with both feet on the ground and the hook a hip throw with one leg hooking up the opponents leg?
