Solo drills

I know this may be a silly question, but does anyone know any solo grappling drills.

You can also practice shooting without a partner. I'd recommend doing it on a mat or with knee pads to start. Bridging & shrimping exersices are always good, but all these things are really just exersices. The only way to get good at grappling is to put in time drilling against a resisting opponent.
All fighting comes from wrestling.

There are plenty. Hit the punching bag. Jump rope. Practice setting up your throws on a tree. Do hip thows with an imaginary opponent.

Using a heavybag (or acceptible substitute) as a grappling/throwing dummy is also a great solo exercise.

Thanks for all the great tips guys.

Stewart, I'm hoping to have a practice partner soon, but until then (and if he falls through) I was looking for something I could practice alone.
