THIS ONE I'm attending! I told work I get that weekend off one way or another!

And as Kat said (and from experience with Kat I concur) helmets are important.

No, this will be shorter, assuming nothing prevents it from going down. (Which means that currently, AFAIK, it's on).

Probably from 11:00 to 5:00, I'd reckon.

The best answer I can give on friday night is "I'll think about it."

Okay, here's the skinny:

I'm still up for it. It's Saturday (only) from 11am to 5 pm, or thereabouts at my place (see address above).

The weather will be upper 90s, very humid. It may (30%) rain. When it rains out here, it pours.

There is limited lodging available for friday night only at my place. Bring a blanket or pillow/sleeping bag if you have one. Camping in my back yard is fine, too (remember that it will probably rain at night).

If you are coming you need to call me tonight to let me know when you are coming and how many of you are coming. If you don't call tonight (or, worst casing it, Friday night) I'll assume you're not coming. If you're wishy-washy let me know. I'll assume you're not coming.

Come with something you want to work on. We'll drill, spar, etc. It will be fun.

This will also be my last public practice/study day before deployment, so if you would like to come, you need to this time around.

Call me to RSVP ASAP at 801 372 7086 before 9pm Central Time tonight (or Friday night if you don't read this in time).

We had a blast!

There is just nothing like a good solid day of practice with somebody like Jake.

We covered the basics (always a good idea) and had "group sparring". 5 on 4, 3 on 5, starting armed, having to run and get a weapon, Having to grapple so one of your guys could get a weapon first... it was all good.

Thanks, Jake and every one else. I look forwards to seeing what we come up with next.

Yeah, it was a really good study day.

Why settle for "somebody like Jake" when you can have the real thing?

Also, for interested pax,
I've got a VCD I put together of some of the sparring (well, about 12 minutes of it. Me and Kat, Me and David Kite, Me and Jeff Hansen...do you see the "me" connection here?)
