Blades On The Beach!

Postby Matthew_Anderson » Thu Dec 15, 2005 7:47 pm

The ARMA, Virginia Beach study group will be hosting a longsword 1.0 workshop on 1 April in Kitty Hawk on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Yes, the beach where the Wright brothers made their historic flight. In fact, the venue will be right by the Wright Brothers National Monument location, about 3 blocks from the beach. In addition to the longsword 1.0 material, we will also cover some half-swording as interpreted by Shane Smith and me and try to work in some free-play. It's going to be a great time and all ARMA members are invited to attend, fee is $50 if you regsiter before 15 March, $60 thereafter. Please RSVP soon and send in your registration as space is limited. You can email the event ccordinator, Rod Thornton, at orion765@yahoo.com for more info. There are several hotels close by and there is a possibility of a reduced group hotel rate, depending on the number of out-of-towners we get that are interested. And yes, I know April 1st is April Fool's day, and no, this is not a joke, we're really going to show up! Really! No, I'm serious.

Just a reminder that if you're planning to attend, please send a check to Rod ASAP to reserve your spot and help us plan for the correct number of attendees.

Thanks!
