Hey Aaron
If you drill 3/4inch hole in the pommel you could make a jig and buy some lead sinker's at Wal-Mart and melt them down, you can do that on the kitchen stove in a cut off coffee can, if you use the same 3/4inch and drill a hole in wood it will hold about 4 ounce's of lead and basicly fit right in the pommel hole just let them cool and glue them in the hole with a urethane glue that is basicly what i did with my homemade waster and you can add more weight if you need to or want to by making the pommel bigger, then you can heat the plastic and weld another one on top to cover/hide weight and lead is denser than steel so it will take less and you can make a jig and melt it and make it whatever shape you desire right at the house unlike steel.
Jeff
P.S. i like fishing sinker's because i can control the weight a little easier and i can use the stove at the house.
