Just Turned 13!

Postby Nick Hames » Tue May 02, 2006 3:10 pm

I just turned 13 two weeks ago and Shane lives down the street from me. I've been talkin' to him and stuff and I might be showing up at ARMA soon. I have some sword-fighting experience. A few friends and I swordfight w/ padded and wooden swords.

Nick

Are you are talking about Shane Smith? If so, I would suggest each day giving him just enought time to bath and eat after he gets in from work before banging on his door with your waster. <img src="/forum/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" /> I assume that you will be joining the ARMA Youth program?

Cool Nick. If it is Shane Smith you've been speaking to, he might have told you that my daughter, who's also 13 and also an ARMA youth member, trains each weekend with the study group here in Virg. Beach. She likes the longsword and the dagger best. I'm sure she'd enjoy someone else to partner with during her training sessions, if you had permission to do so.

It's a great activity to pursue, and long after the childhood trophies of baseball and soccer (which are still great) are retired to a cardboard box in the basement, it leaves you with valuable and valid skills.
