Sounds like you guys put on a great event. Congratulations! Looks like there is a solid ARMA presence in the Smokey Mountain State (or whatever you guys call yourselves).
We had been thinking about trying something like "The Volunteer State". LOL
I am glad they had a good time. But for me the best part was going through all the stuff I had seen. Putting together enough for a day and a half was a bunch different than just for a usual class.
So I started thinking about what I liked... and from Southern Knights there was some longsword stuff from John that really impressed me, a handfull of your grappling moves worked very well for me, and some of Jay Vail's dagger techniques that I thought were really smooth. So I tossed them all in.
Then there was some things that Jake worked on I really like that he practiced with us for a seminar he was doing out west... Some of the new stuff Bill works on with me... a few longsword moves my wife uses that I like...
Just going over it all at picking out my favorites and working them up for this was a lot more fun, and productive, than I would have guessed. I think a new feature of our group from now on is once a week, somebody gets to train every one else in one of their "favorite" techniques.
