Yes, you can attend ARMA practices by invitation for a short while at least (a trial period, usually a few weeks), but if you plan on being a regular then you need to apply for membership obviously. If you can't get hold of the New Jersey guys then try David Knight up in New York. It's a bit longer drive, but he's an experienced member who can give you a good intro. You could also try looking up Tim Sheetz on here, since I think his dad runs one of the NJ groups and he might be able to get a message through for you. Keep in mind that not everybody remembers to update their contact info on this site with the best and latest if they change, so they're probably not ignoring you, more likely you're lost in an email blizzard, a spam filter or an abandoned account. Pretty much everybody I've ever met in ARMA welcomes new practice partners with enthusiasm, so don't give up, just network until you find somebody who knows the people in your area.
