I just registered and will be spending a LOT of time searching through the site and resources you guys have posted. I'm curious on a few things.
Basically I have been into ancient warfare for a long time (Romans and Greeks)... but I've been more and more interested in medieval warfare as of late. I want to start training and need a good place that's not a sham.
1. Does anyone know of a reputable training location in Colorado?
2. Would the information be "underage friendly"?
I'm also wanting to teach my son (who is now 5) martial arts and history. I figured if I can find a place for me to train, I can either pass along the information (which I don't want to have to do... in case I get something wrong)... or find a place for both of us.
Any ideas? Can anyone recommend some books that'll help for an absolute beginner (maybe one that's associated with a recommended training place here in CO)? Any ideas for passing training to youngsters? What do you guys recommend for types of weapons (swords, spears, etc) for training with a younger boy? I've obviously seen the steel, stage steels, wooden, and the newer polymer variants. What do you guys think helps more?
