Hello all, and a sincere thank you for putting on such a great event. Thanks to the members who provided encouragement and congratulations to those of us who achieved our goal of attaining General Free Scholar ranking. I view it as my first small, but vital step in becoming a serious student of our art.

I would like to give a separate thank you to John C. for allowing me to pester him with various and assorted questions not pertaining to the material he presented so well during the Rapier Seminar. And the new bruises... Vas sehrt, das lehrt.

This event could not have been the success that it was without the hard work and dedication of three very special people - Eric Winkler, Kevin Peterson, and Aaron Pynenberg. Thank you all for being such gracious hosts. Christine and I look forward to being able to repay you in kind.

A big congratulations to Jeremiah Backhaus, it was a pleasure to meet and train with you. I certainly look forward to crossing swords with you again.

Lastly, to the rest of the attendees, most of whom I got to meet at the IG, it was great to see and spend time with you, and hopefully we'll get a chance to do so again at another fantastic event.

Awesome weekend.

Congrats to the new GFSs.

Thanks to John for coming up and offering his instruction.

Thanks to Aaron for hosting, as well as loaning floor space for those of us too cheap for hotels, and for his tactical clinic.

Thanks to Eric Winkler for donating the prize for winning the pub quiz (and yes, I would say that even if I hadn't won).

Thanks to everyone else involved in the logistics of the event. It was great seeing everyone again, and meeting even more new faces.
