John;

To be honest, before I got the book I was hesitant. I remember the old "Bruce Tegner teaches this, that, and the other" paperbacks as well as a few other skills based books.

Your use of the abstract figures really helps keep things clear enough to see what's important. It does have needs, like an index, but overall I'm really impressed! Good information fairly well sorted out and lots of "off the training floor" material to read. I can see why it'll take me a year or so for advancement!

Pretty soon my copy will be marked up with references and corrections/suggestions. After Gary gets through beating me up I hope to have some refinment time as I heal. <img src="/forum/images/icons/tongue.gif" alt="" />
ciao!

Just call me leam "the moving pell".

I'm really looking forward to getting up there and having something to recover from. Me and the waster are getting aquainted so I hope to not be overly dangerous.

What's the schedule like? I have the car this Saturday if we're all stocked up with chocolates and flowers for later.
ciao!

Hi Matt,
I'm from Milwaukee, so we aren't too far away from each other. I'm very new to this. Just ordered my first waster. Am using a cut off broom stick to try and learn the stances! Whatever it takes. Please feel to contact me. There are a couple of WI guys I'm hoping to meet up with, but until then I'll be looking for others within a reasonable driving distance to learn with. I don't know a thing, so can't teach you anything, but maybe you, your wife and I can meet sometime.
Feel free to e-mail me.
LOL....I guess Viggo and Orlando are as good a reason as any lto earn, although I don't think we'll be quite so otherworldly in what we'll be doing!
