Museum: a great visit day at Brescia.

I had an very interesting visit at Luigi Marzoli museum of arms last friday. I took the brescia spadona’s original out of the “reliquary” and started to analyze it, spending the whole day with my group over this wonderful sword, called “stocco” o "spada da stocco" by the “armaioli” armourer
(the person in charge of the maintenance of the museum historical specimens)
Amazing day!Wounderful pictures.
Museo own a wounderful 500/600 swords collection: side swords, rapier, cup hilted( some long 1.30 meter), schiavone e cinquedee.

We will continue with periodical visit. Next month cinquedea dagger andthe longer dagona cinquedea. Then a cutting thrust sword from "Caino", location of the swordsmith' workshop close to Brescia.
Rumor said that recently a sister of this sword was found in centre Italy…
Rumor said also Peter’s sword is amazing too and I cant wait to have one.

the albion version of the Brescia is an amazing sword i would love to have the chance to handle the original, maybe someday.

It makes me wish i had the money for a trip to Italy, even if i were to just watch those beauties from behind a glass case. :)

whenever you have the chance to pass by Brescia, I will be pleased to arrange a museum visit. It is just 30 minutes from the city airport, which is well connected to the most popular low-cost flights.
