New to Western Martial Arts

I'm new to Western Martial Arts and wanted to know a good place to buy wasters, and some good training manuals for beginners. I live in NYC and am only 13, so if theres any other youth members, or anybody interested in teaching me the basics leave me your e-mail, thanks.

Welcome Justin,

So I don't repeat myself read the "getting started" thread. It's never too early to start, and I can't stress enough about taking advantage of the web site. There is a ton of info there up for grabs.

I haven't seen one, but there is a "practice partners" list that would show any groups in your area. The first place I'd look would be to ask them.
