Greetings from Albuquerque!

Postby John Fowlds » Sat May 28, 2011 1:18 pm

Hello all, new here. I've been interested in European martial arts for quite some time and a buddy and I decided to finally give it a go.

Submitted my ARMA membership application about two weeks ago. I've got some excellent books, The Knightly Arts of Combat and John Clement's Medieval Swordsmanship. I've had both of these for a few years. I also just received my Purpleheart Armoury longsword waster today and figured it's about time to hop on the forum here.

I have done quite a bit of searching and haven't found a study group of any sort - ARMA or otherwise - in the Albuquerque NM area.

Anyway, about time I thank everyone here for all of the information I've been utilizing over the last month or so.
Deyr fé,
deyja frændr,
deyr sjálfr et sama;
ek veit einn,
at aldri deyr:
dómr um dauðan hvern.

Cattle die,
kinsmen die
the self must also die;
I know one thing
which never dies:
the reputation of each dead man.
