Is there certification with European Martian Arts?

Postby coryzamparelli » Tue Apr 10, 2012 9:26 pm

I know I am getting way ahead of myself, I am only still a beginner, but I have big dreams. I know it will take many years of training but down here in South Florida, there are absolutely NO European Martial Arts schools down here that teach and study The Italian School of Swordsmanship, only The German School. So I have a pretty big goal in the years to come to eventually open my own school to teach The Italian School of Swordsmanship (or Martial Art, whichever is the correct way to name it) and finally bring that study down here to Florida. But I was wondering if there is any certification involved so in the years ahead of my, as I train and develop my skills, I can know what I need to get that started. I appreciate all the help!

Hi Cory, welcome to the forum.

As in any skill, there are many different certifications from many different places, however some are worthless, while others are quite meaningful.

In ARMA, we have different ranks, which you can read about here:
http://www.thearma.org/RANKING.htm

Most people will agree that the ARMA has a rigorous and effective approach to the art, and ranking within the organization is quite meaningful.
