Time once again to start thinking about ARMA International Gathering 2013 coming next July in Houston, Texas! If you are new to ARMA and haven't heard about the IG yet, this is the one ARMA event you shouldn't miss.** You will get three days of training, presentations, prize playings and rank tests, free-play and camaraderie with ARMA members from across the country and around the world in Houston, TX, July 12-14. Classes scheduled include longsword, rapier, messer, quarterstaff, grappling and dagger fighting from John Clements and other senior ARMA teachers. We'll have vendors there for steel swords (Albion!), armor, wasters, leather goods and more, along with door prizes and raffle items. The event will be indoors away from the Texas summer heat and the ridiculously low price of $125 includes three catered meals a day, lots of free Gatorade and a free event T-shirt. Ask anyone who's been to a Gathering before and they'll tell you they wish it lasted a week (if they could survive that long - you WILL go home exhausted!).

The IG is a golden opportunity to get exposure to a wide variety of weapons and source teachings and get personal tutoring from experienced instructors than you find at the IG, not to mention the widest variety of sparring partners! The prize playings for Free-Scholar ranking are a spectacle every member should witness and participate in at least once to test the mettle of your fellows. The presentations during lunch and dinner times are a chance for our Director and members to highlight their research and are always enlightening.

You can find all the information on registration, lodging, classes, vendors and more here:
