Any one up for practice in N. Utah?

Postby Daniel.Balderas » Mon Aug 23, 2004 6:16 pm

Hello everyone,

I am currently living on Hill AFB near Layton, Utah. I've had an interest in Western martial arts my whole life. I've known of ARMA for a little while but for some reason I never thought to look on the internet.
I've studied Kung Fu, Kenpo, Jujitsu and a little Kendo. But nothing for long enough to make a difference.
I'm looking foward to learning as much as I can here and I'd like to get together with anyone interested in teaching. If you don't feel like teaching think it as getting to beat up on someone for a little while Thanks.

Hey! The ogden one should be easy enough for you to get to. We're currently training on wed. nights at 1900. You can find directions and info here http://www.arma-ogden.org/
If you have any questions, PM or email me. James runs the website if you have any questions about that.

Thanks for the replies, but that sucks! I work nights m-f. Is there any chance that you might be setting up a weekend workout soon?

Hard to say. Worst case, I live in farmington, 10 or 15 min. south of you. We could work out something. Lets take this to PM or email.

Also,

The Provo group has a Saturday practice if you don't mind a small drive. I drive in occasionally from Price, and it is about an hour and a half for me.

Hey Daniel,

Sorry there's a conflict for nights. I'm always game for meeting at other times in addition to Wed. night.

Join the arma_ogden Yahoo group, as that's where the local chatter about when and where &c. happens.

I'd second that. There are a lot of great people down there, and I always come back with a head stuffed full of new insights and stuff.

I need to get down there again a time or two myself before the snow flies again.

Yeah I live in Salt Lake but have time conflicts with the Sun. practive so I've been going down to Provo on Sats. as often as I can. I also work nights so I feel the pain of getting home from work at 6:30 am and having to drive and get beat up after only about 3 hours of sleep.
