Vaage, Reverse Posture, & Turned Foot in Armor

By John Clements
ARMA Director

A little something special for my armored fighting colleagues. This is both a supplement and augment to my 2009 research paper on Volta, Key, and Scale. But this specifically focuses on relevance of Motus to Medieval and Renaissance close combat in armor. It is offered as a 144mb PDF file.

“Now, that I am able to prove it, let but any martialist read this discourse, and lay aside all prejudicacy of opinion, I doubt not if he please to speak truth."
- A Warre-like Treatise of the Pike, Donald Lipton, 1642
