We were wondering while watching the clips - how closely aligned is the camera's field of view with the point you're looking at?
We've always been taught in various disciplines to watch the
opponent's eyes, not limbs or weapons; you seem to be watching the weapon. Is this an accident (camera not pointed where you are looking), or is that how you were taught?
I'm not trying to claim one way or another is best, but I'm curious about different attitudes on where to look.
The rationale & method I was taught: Weapon and limb motions are more fully deceptive than eyes; and also to try to "see" the whole opponent without looking away from the eyes.
