lets see axes used properly . Hooking and thrusting .Please Its always been one of my pet peeves to just see axes swung around as if only the cutting edge was used and no other parts could hurt you.
And some beserkers would be cool!
And let us know if the need stunt people and extras Im retired now and have time to give to projects such as this >

It all sounds good. Hopefully, you'll be able to keep this as accurate as possible.
But, concerning the Vikings, I just checked out a Renaissance faire near my area which featured "Vikings" from the 9th century in FULL PLATE ARMOUR. On top of that, the faire claimed that it was "Elizabethan England".
Just before I blacked out, I thought that I had entered into a parrallel universe of some sort.
So, hopefully, everything will work out with this film opportunity, as it sounds quite good.

Hahaha Yikes! Thats tragic! I went over with Stew alot of things we are working on for the film and someof which includes axe work that uses hooking (shield, neck, behind the knee, ect) some dagger work (seax) sword and shiled and single sword. Fight rehersals should start next week so i'll keep everyone posted <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

In preparation for the fight rehearsals, you might want to show the actors and director some footage (or downloads as the case may be) of good ARMA padded sparring and waster freeplay.

That would be nice except that none of our videos show the style of large round shield and sword that we will be using. You could say its somewhat related to some sword &amp; buckler stuff but theres no sense in confusing them anymore than I have to. Much easier to show/ demonstrate.
