A quick glance at the list of registered users shows that we now have 1000 registered users on our forums.
Since the "re-inception" of the ARMA forums more than three years ago, ARMA has provided this free service for the historical fencing/Western martial art community. Our forums remain a place where historical fencing and Western martial arts topics can be discussed in an open environment without worrying about flamers, trolls, cheerleading and other ugliness that can plague a discussion forum. From the number of registered users, it is gratifying to know that we are succeeding. We will continue to provide this "marketplace of ideas" where enthusiasts can enjoy the free exchange of ideas and points of interest and ask questions secure in the knowledge that other users welcome such input. Users of our forums can take heart in knowing that a question will always be answered and, on a good day, a spirited debate will be found.
I think I can speak for John, Stacy, Shane and our other Forum monitors when I say once again, welcome to the ARMA forums. We strive to make these forums the "place to be" for historical fencing and Western martial arts.
BTW - for those who live in Houston, I took the subject line from Dr. John Lienhardt's excellent program, "The Engines of our Ingenuity."
