Spanish vs Italian rapier style

Postby andrew mcnally » Sat Oct 15, 2005 5:47 pm

I have tried searching the forums for information on this, but was unable to locate the appropriate threads. I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I will ask it again. I want to know the basic ideas and characteristics of these two schools: how they are similar, how they are different, what their basic approach or philosophy is. I realize that descriptions can not do a matial art justice, but a discussion can be profitable nonetheless. Also, is one style better suited to a beginner than another. Just curious...Thanks!!

If my brain recalls, I think you might wish to read Agrippa and R. Cappo Ferro, respectively.
