I have to agree... I own a couple middle-of-the-road MRL's and just received my Albion Mercenary about two weeks ago.
Lightening fast, excellent workmanship and fit, great blade shape and finishing, and a nice, hot-peened crossguard (versus a sandwiched one as in MRL).
You seem to get what you pay for with their manufactured blades....I doubt you will be dissappointed with them.
My only complaint with Albion is that they have a two year backlog on scabbards..... with that sort of backlog, they should hire and train more help in the interest of customer satisfaction. (It's been said, "You ain't nothin' without a backlog" but that is a little excessive). To my mind, with the surge in interest, our own organization's growth and customer referrals, and the general interest in WMA, it would be money well-invested for them. Limiting themselves to one scabbard-maker is a little penny-wise, but dollar-foolish.
Great sword tho'....you should relax in knowing the $ was well -spent.
