Da Vinci

Postby Jaron Bernstein » Sun Jan 22, 2006 6:59 pm

I heard somewhere that Leonardo Da Vinci's famous vitruvian man drawing is actually a sword diagram for showing the 4 divisions or the segno. I was wondering if anyone could substantiate or refute this with a reference.

No, I had pointed out that his center stance is the same as a sword stance, and that the original Vitruvius was concerned with relationships between human proportions, as some fencers of the Renaissance were.
