Website stuff

Postby GaryGrzybek » Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:32 pm

Hi all,

Our NNJ associate John Gallego put together this very cool video sequence for us. Soon we will present an updated main page with a few revisions and corrections. John has shown his talent and we're lucky to have him.

Let me know what you think.

This was a small Local Ren fair. It has growth potential and since we were well received, next year should be even better. Sadly, the first day we had miserable weather but as you can see it turned out fine.

I saw a longsword with a very complex, almost rapierstylish hilt, what sword is that? Where did you get it? I am looking for a blunt, and that one really caught my eye.

cheers.

Lovin' the music! Who is that? Cant go wrong with a set of pipes!

The longsword with the complex hilt looks very similar to the Armour Class 16th century hand a half sword : http://www.armourclass.co.uk/Data/Pages/17Century_2.htm One that I have personally been looking at for a long time. I too love the look of those later period bastards <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

The complex hilt bastard sword is from Armour Class of Scotland. I bought it used over a year ago and it's still proving to be a very reliable training blunt. Some say their blades are a bit wippy but it seems fine to me. And believe me, I hate wippy blades. They have changed this model a bit and I think this one is better looking. What I love most about this sword is that it's very lively for it's weight and the balance point allows for excellent blade control. The edge ia also very thick and safe.

Here's the new version on their website:
