SE Virginia Area Events

Postby Matthew_Anderson » Sat Feb 11, 2006 3:06 pm

Just wanted to remind everyone about our two upcoming events:

1 April 2006, I'll be teaching basic longsword with some extra, super secret, ultra-advanced material including half-swording and of course, some free-play. Kitty Hawk North Carolina, fee is $50. Please email Rod Thornton at orion@765@yahoo.com">orion@765@yahoo.com to register or for more info. This is going to be a really fun day at a good tourist location and you'll get a chance to beat me up (if you can ).

27 May 2006, Rapier workshop taught by John Clements here in Virginia Beach/Norfolk. This will be a small event but we have room for a few more. Contact me to register at <a href="mailto:androu3@cox.net

Re: SE Virginia Area Events-Special ARMA rates

Postby Rod-Thornton » Wed Feb 15, 2006 7:13 pm

For travelers who plan to come to the NTP 1.0 event that may require a local hotel room, a special rate has been established for ARMA members wishing to stay in Nags' Head...just a couple of miles down the beach road from where the event will be. If you choose to take advantage of this, just identify yourself to Dan, the owner, as an ARMA member participating in the event and you can book a single bed efficiency unit for $45/night or $50 for a two-bed efficiency unit -a savings of at least 25% from the seasonal rates, he says. For your convenience, links are provided below.

Super secret material, gosh, I'll guess I'll have to be there.

This is a member workshop or open seminar?
Do NOT send me private messages via Forum messenger. I NEVER read them. To contact me please use direct email instead.

"Super secret material, gosh, I'll guess I'll have to be there".

Yeah, you know, one touch knock out, ninja mind control, that kind of stuff. We'll send you a handout.

"This is a member workshop or open seminar"?

Member's workshop, it will probably be mostly the local area folks but any member is welcome if they'd like to make the trip.
