I am the proud owner of an Albion Agincourt sword.
quite a while ago i bent the tip, it was torqued only slightly less then half an inch from the tip. I was going to send it in to albion to be fixed then i realized something;
The tip on the sword had been soo acute it was almost impossible for a WMA practicioner to keep it from distorting. Not only was the tip a danger to anything it pointed at but having such a sharp tip was a danger to the sword itself.
So im going to pound or grind the tip down less than a quarter inch i think.
the blade will be safer, more durrible and if i were going to a medieval battle i wouldnt want the tip so thin anyways. If i ever decide i want the sword sharp again the tip would be at a less acute angle, more to my likings anyways.
Any thoughts?
