Heads up everybody--the May 2006 issue of "Tactical Knives" magazine has a 6 page article on the Ashokan event, including a paragraph or two about the ARMA and two photos of Stew Feil's and Brian Hunt's demonstration (one rapier pic, one longsword pic).

"...ARMA (Association for Renaissance Martial Arts) Senior Free Scholar Stewart Feil, and his fellow student, Brian Hunt, gave an introduction on the use of the hand-and-a-half and bastard swords. It was extremely informative to have two distinct disciplines [referring to the Chinese sword demonstration that preceded the ARMA demo] demonstrated proficiently, one right after the other, which allowed one to compare and contrast the two disciplines. The European sword discipline is probably the most featured in Hollywood films and the most misunderstood by current practicioners of other sword arts. ARMA seeks to educate all that are interested in separating the myth from the reality.
