need to work on your fundamentals, especially your guards. They exist for a reason.

My advice to you is buy John Clements's Medieval Swordmanship and read these articles and apply the information contain therein:

Stances
Meisterhauen

In addition, only strike for a reason, maintain initiative, don't try to devise your own system - use Liechtenauer's or another fechtmeister's whose life depended on fighting well and do not copy what you see in movies or perform extraneous flashy movements (i.e. no twirls or squatting).
As Mr. Clements said in his book "to learn something poorly is not a virtue". If I seem harsh I apologize, but had I the opportunity to travel back in time 3 or 4 years, I would have told myself the same thing.
To learn from your mistakes is to find victory in defeat.

Edge alignment, timing, distance, footwork, proper striking paths, guards, counters. All of these are important and you need work with all of them. Otherwise, looks like you had a lot of fun.

hope this helps.

Also perhaps take some time are really try hard to mimic some of the videos here. John has some picture perfect clips of what stances and cuts should look like. Really look close at those and apply them. We all have to start somewhere

I like the part at the end where your buddy is rolling on the ground, looks like he took a hard hit to the hand Anyway, I'll echo the advice everyone else has given. Learn the basics, like coordinating your footwork with your striking/parrying. You might want to wear some head and hand protection as well. A fencing mask or lacrosse helmet and gloves will increase your comfort level greatly. Also, you should re-register with a full legal name.

Hi it's me again. Thanks for the replies, they are of great help!
My friend got hit on the side of the belly.
We are surely looking for some helmets, they are just hard to find here where we live.
cheers.
