Hi res Image & Typology question

Postby Allen Johnson » Wed Apr 05, 2006 8:40 am

2 questions - didnt want to waste space with making two threads.

1) Does anyone have any hi resolution images of any of the segno's or things like that? I want to make a big poster version for hanging- perhaps even put it on canvas.

2) What book does Oakeshott's medieval sword typology appear in?

Thanks,
Allen

The bare bones typology with some supporting material appears in the earlier *Archaeology of Weapons*.

The fully described and finished typology with tons of supporting material is in *Records of the Medieval Sword*.

You can still purchase either or borrow by ILL.

I can help you with the hi-res stuff. Email me with the sort of things you want and I can whip something up for you. For instance, do you want a normallish asterix-style segno, or something more fancy? That sort of thing. You can email me here: byrondoyle@gmail.com

Hope to hear from you.
