Special Presentation Series in Mexico

Hello All!

I just returned from Mexico with John C. and Francisco. I wanted to start this out with a quick congratulations to John for all his work on this trip. He was able to give Francisco and I lengthy personal one on one training, give us a huge amount of information verbally, and also show us the ins and outs of teaching at these kinds of events.

You cannot imagine the amount of new material I have to add in to my training both for myself and my Study Group. I have about 8 pages of quick reminders of concepts and ideas which could expand to be three times that amount of info at least. We had the unique ability to preview some upcoming stuff, (tease,tease) and talk about these new articles with the Author, getting even more insight.

Having said all that it was also cool to get to know each other on a more personal level, (yes, Francisco and I shared a room, -but only in a manly way) -and we had a ton of fun.

We also saw some really cool sights, met some very cool people and had some outstanding authentic food.

So Thanks John, for all the training and insight, for doing what you do so well and for inspiring us all. Thanks Francisco for your abilities with communication and your scholarship-(he's got some really awesome ideas he's working on, more tease, tease)- and for just being cool guys to hang with-- pictures to follow soon!- AP

Thanks, Aaron. It was definitely an experience, and one that would not have been half as useful without your participation and assistance and especially Francisco's invaluable interpreting. We hope to have some pics and a report about this 4 day trip online in a few weeks.

Apparently I'm getting late to all the mexico trip related messages today.

I cannot but to agree with Aaron on every subject. It was quite an experience. My only regret is that we could not train some more.

Both Aaron and John displayed quite some stamina performing under a roasting mid-day sun.
The level of profesionalism and focus John commits towards teaching this art is beyond anything can be suspected. This tremendous disposition is not restricted only to his students but also to the general public. A comparison with the best university profesors that I've met along my years is not out of place.

Aaron displayed excelent fighting abilities (I'm jelous, but in a manly way, ja!). More than good enough to hold his ground against John, and with leeway to spare against all of the mexican fighters he faced. This is not only a testament to the hard work he has being doing for the past 3 years, but also validates the ARMA aproach.

We had some eye-opening experiences. The most importants, I think, regarding to how other groups perceive us and about safety.

Don't want to get overly philosophical on this post. I just want to say that after observing John and Aaron and contrasting with some of the other guests, I know where I am, where I want to go and where I will never ever will want to be.

I am also looking forward to hearing from the report that you guys are going to put together. If I remember correctly, I think you all went to Mexico City. If it is possible, and if enought interest is generated in Mexcio, I'd be interested in trying to go with you all for any second trips.

It's not like it's a long trip for me..... ....
