Video:Chinese Jian swordsmanship vs Filippino kali

Postby Lance Chan » Tue Apr 01, 2003 2:05 am

I forwarded this post from hfsword.com, translating it into English.

------------------------------
How's Chinese jian swordsmanship practical fighting?

In fact, there are international Chinese swordsmen who have attempted and formed systems a decade ago.

The hfsword.com owner's friend in Seattle, Chinese swordsman Chiang Ting who has studied Asian swordsmanship for almost half a century and specialized on the practical fighting study, will disclose the videos of their sparring and training.

The following video shows a taiji jian vs filippino kali. Both of them are students of Mr. Chiang. We can see the elegance, speed and power of the chinese swordsmanship.

The following one shows Wu Tang Crane style vs Filippinno kali.

The video above requires DivX codec to playback. If you don't have the codec, you may download it here:

Oh, while I'm watching my back, you guys who's close to Seattle can try to locate the master and teach them some lessons. If I am close to them, I would be happy to do it myself. <img src="/forum/images/icons/laugh.gif" alt="" />
