Can anyone describe the utility of Fiore's Unicorn guard?

If I may paraphrase J Clements, the Posta Bicornio is a defensive thrusting stance which allows you to go and do half-swording as you need, and so from it you could attack much like out of Finestra guards.

Personally, it seems like a rather transitional ward, but others may differ with me about that.

The stance of the unicorn is also an ideal position to transition through when cutting upward blows, and is especially nice for pressing your opponent's hands.

Hi all, as has been pointed out, we ran with this over on our forum, so feel free to visit.
But I should note here that it is called Posta di Bicorno (two-horned) - Unicorn (Einhorn) is in Meyer.
