Are these members still active?

Anyone else in Charlotte?

I'm in Charlotte one weekend a month, so some training might be possible.

That's a pretty long way for just a couple possible hours of training. I'm not even sure where to go in Charlotte. There must be a park somewhere close.

I'll be in the vicinity of the airport.

PM me if you want to try to figure something out.

I'm in Columbia (as is Allen Johnson, above), and I'd be willing to go up there once a month or so for a couple of hours fencing. I also know several people in Charlotte who would be interested: no experience, but they'd be willing to learn if there was a group for them to learn from.

I'm not an ARMA member currently, but if an actual study group formed I'd be willing to join to make it kosher.

I'd make a two hour drive from time to time to train with Allen. He is very competent and a pretty darn good guy. I used to drive 3 hours round-trip twice every week to VAB when I lived in NC. I saw it as no undue hardship.

I drive to Provo to get in training with other people and it is a 3 hour round trip. Just make a day of it. Eat at a new place, visit with friends, etc.

I'm not averse to driving long distances for training, but when I'm in Charlotte I'm there for Air National Guard drill. My schedule can change at any time, and I can't be staying out late driving back from somewhere since I have to be up really early Sunday morning.

I'll be down again next weekend. Maybe we can work out something for Saturday sometime after 6 if it's in Columbia or earlier in Charlotte.
